Russian-Israeli modern impressionist painter Leonid Afremov was born in Belarus in a family of a shoe designer. During his years in college, Afremov discovered the world of Chagall, Picasso, Dali, and Modigliani, artists who inspired and influenced his early works.
Throughout the course of his career, he developed his own unique technique and style working mainly with a palette knife and oils. His colorful paintings depict landscapes, city scenes, seascapes, flowers, animals, and portraits reflecting various moods and emotions.
Afremov is mainly known as being a self-representing artist who promotes and sells his work exclusively over the internet. All of his artworks are available for viewing and purchasing via Etsy shop and his personal website.
