Paris-based photographer Julien Mauve created a series called ‘Greetings from Mars’, a project about space exploration and discovery, but also about how humans behave in front of new and unknown landscapes.
“It’s interesting to observe the way we act in front of the camera, how we include ourselves in the landscapes, how those landscapes trigger the desire to affirm our presence.” says Julien Mauve.
With this series, Mauve highlights the real reason for people traveling: “Do we travel to discover new places and cultures, or do we travel to take pictures of ourselves and prove that we exist?”
