Vibrant Cross Stitch Street Art Installations by Raquel Rodrigo
Spanish artist Raquel Rodrigo combines cross stitching with street art to create vibrant embroidered floral compositions on the walls of Madrid bringing them a dash of color.
She prepares her designs in advance in her workshop using wire mesh as a canvas on which she wraps colored thick string using cross stitch technique and then installs them in various locations of the city.
Raquel’s decorative pieces create a pixelated texture, especially when viewed up close. See below some of her installations and find more on her website.
