Blokoshka, Modernist Architectural Matryoshka Blocks by Zupagrafika

Inspired by the post-war landscape of eastern European cities, Poznań-based creative design studio Zupagrafika have designed the Blokoshka, Modernist Architectural Matryoshka project.

The series consists of four pre-cut and pre-folded blocks printed on recycled cardboard that can be easily assembled, without scissors or glue, to create miniature matryoshka buildings that fit perfectly within one another.

The four structures represent the “sleeping districts” of Moscow, plattenbau constructions of East Berlin, Warsaw estates built over the ruins of old ghetto, and the panelak blocks in Prague.

You can see the entire project on Zupagrafika’s website and buy your own Blokoshka kit via their online shop.
